We are based at the foothills of the Catombal Ranges, just south of Wellington, in the Central West of NSW.

Principal trainer, Phil, commenced his dog training journey in the 1990's whilst working on sheep and cattle stations in the far west of NSW.  He later moved into the Security Industry where he became a dog handler, and later trainer, for a large security dog company.  In the mid 2000's, Phil took advantage of an opportunity to manage a large animal shelter for a animal welfare organisation.   For the last few years, Phil has become involved with handling and training dogs for search and rescue, which he is still active in.

If you live further than an hour or so from us, we have several options available.  We can arrange to meet closer to you for a reasonable travel fee, or we can use a dog transport company to get your dog to us.  For the follow-up training with you, we can conduct a longer handover with you to ensure that you are confident to take your dog home, and we then offer follow-up training via phone and zoom  meetings.  We have had dogs come to us from as far afield as Bourke and Western Sydney, with great results!

Due to Phil's broad background with training dogs, he is able to use the method that is best suited to each dog.  Generally, the dogs are initially imprinted using food, then the food is phased out prior to the dog being proofed to ensure the training is reliable in a variety of circumstances. If your dog isn't motivated by food, Phil is able to draw on a variety of skills, such as play and movement, to build the dog's desire to learn.
